Every overlander may tell you : As the route is just as important as the trip itself, be sure to pick the good car to realize your dream.

From the Peugeot 205 (Go France !!) to the biggest Unimogs, every kind of car can do the trick. The only thing that really matters is that the car may fit the philosophy of the trip itself, the way you gonna live during this time... It must be a tool, helping you in your project.

As we expect to spend the most of our time camping, and discovering less known places, our expectations were :

• 4 WD : for the ability of going everywhere,
• engine reliability / parts availability along the way,
• ability of indoors evolution, so we can live inside,
• ability to sleep in the car

All those points bring us to look for a Toyota LandCruiser, widely known in the overlanding world. So we began to look for some KDJs 95, and (if we are lucky) some HZJs 75.

In may 2013, we found this classified : HZJ 75, late 1996, 180.000 km. It is already equiped for overlanding :

• german made "top roof opening"
• additionnal tanks for GO (90L) and water (70 L)
• winch, webasto...

So, welcome to our new road mate, house, best friend : Dumbo !!!

In spite of the mechanical part is "ready to use", everything is to be done in the inside, so let's go !!
